One nabbed for smuggling pangolin in Odisha

A baby pangolin was rescued by the Jeypore Forest Department from the Kathargada forest under the Borigumma forest in Odisha's Koraput and a smuggler has been arrested. Upon getting information from Vigilance Department that a live pangolin was available for sale in Dandabadi village of Kathargada section of Borigumma range, a special team of Forest personnel of Jeypore division was formed. Acting on the plan, the forest officials nabbed the smuggler and detained him at Borigumma police station. Rescued Pangolin has been kept at the Borigumma Forest Office. It weighs more than two kilograms, forest officials said.
