Odisha: A Class IX student from Angul district of Odisha has been selected to participate in the NASA Space Settlement Contest for his invention which can reach out to people in need of immediate medical aid in remote areas.
Subhranshu Nayak, son of a bag seller Laxman Nayak and Sulochana is a student of Saraswati Vidya Mandir in Hulursinga village.

He developed a Mavic project at the cost of Rs. 65,000 and uploaded it on the NASA Space Settlement website. Through it, a patient or injured person can receive first aid and also consult a doctor via the camera installed on the device.
After reviewing the project, NASA invited him to its Space Settlement Centre at Washington to give a detailed briefing on his project on December 1.
Around 138 participants from across the globe including two from India are invited to visit NASA’s Space Settlement Centre.
Subhranshu who is a student prodigy is being praised by everyone for his grit and determination.
