Woman's rape claim conflicts medical report

The woman in Madhya Pradesh said she was walking home after completing coaching classes when Akshay Gupta, the accused, kidnapped and blindfolded her before she was raped at Bhagirathpura along with four others.

Indore: A married woman was allegedly kidnapped, gang-raped and later abandoned on a railway track in Madhya Pradesh's Banganga area while returning from a coaching centre on Tuesday evening.

However, medical reports confirmed that the woman was not raped and found two cut marks on her body.

According to the statement given by the victim, she was walking home after completing coaching classes on Tuesday evening when Akshay Gupta, the accused, kidnapped and blindfolded her before she was raped at Bhagirathpura along with four others.

She alleged that they recorded her video and warned her not to inform the police and also threatened to upload the video on the internet.

Police denied any evidence related to rape and video

However, police informed that there was no evidence of rape was found in the medical reports. Also, after investigating the mobile phone of Gupta, the prime accused in the case, there was no video found which can prove the allegations of the victim.

Victim has been modifying her statement at every step

While speaking to ETV Bharat, Indore ASP Shashikant Kankane said that the victim has been continuously changing her statement with the other police officer. "Either the victim has been facing mental trauma or she has been narrating fiction to us. We have been investigating the matter", added ASP.

Interestingly, Akshay, the prime accused claimed that he was performing Hanuman arti at the temple near his home. He also asked the police to check the mobile location verified, if they have any doubts.

The victim is married and used to stay at her mother's house to complete her B.com. Reportedly, earlier too, the accused Akshay had kidnapped her in a room, but she managed to get out.

After the first incident, the victim's family has given a warning to Akshay and told him to stay away from the woman.
