Indore: Continuing its crackdown on the country’s biggest MDMA drug seizure case, Indore police and Crime Branch sleuths on Friday arrested a drug peddler and supplier from Madhya Pradesh's Mandsaur.
The accused has been identified as Sardar Khan, hailing from Mumbai. Police said that the accused used to supply drugs to other peddlers of Indore and Mumbai. After getting the reliable inputs, the Crime Branch and the police team raided the office of Khan and apprehended him.
Speaking to media persons here, Indore IG, Harinarayan Chari Mishra, said, "Meanwhile, police have started interrogating the accused, Khan and trying to establish his other connections regarding the drug peddling case. We got to know that the accused has a link with Feroze Lala Gang of Mumbai. And this gang is believed to be involved in the supply of cocaine, opium on a large scale in Rajasthan, Mumbai, Uttar Pradesh, and Gujarat."
"The crime branch team is keeping tabs of Khan. We have taken data from CCTV footages of his office, and details of his various bank accounts. Earlier, the crime branch sleuths arrested five persons including Telangana based pharmaceutical company owner Vedprakash Vyas. The information is being collected with the help of Mumbai police there," he said.
"Our priority is to find a place where the drugs were prepared. The crime branch team is working to find the place as the accused didn’t reveal any information about the place so far. More accused will be arrested in the case. So far, information about other people involved in the case has been received. The other suspects are from the city and their role is being verified," he added.
