New Delhi: Congress MPs from Kerala held a protest outside the Parliament on Tuesday over the issue of farmer's distress in the state due to cancellation of a moratorium on crop loan repayment issued by the RBI.
According to reports, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has decided to cancel the moratorium issued to the banks on crop loan repayment, in the wake of Kerala floods in 2018.
"In Kerala, farmers are in a very serious crisis. After the floods, they had to suffer losses due to crop failure," Kodikunnil Suresh, MP from Mavelikara said.
