Shivamogga: A pair of twin sisters in the district have proven that the path to one's goal is easy if there is a will to achieve it. Mamata and Madhu are twin sisters who are noted for their achievements in the village of Sagar Taluk's village of Laviggere.
Both have been selected for Police Sub-Inspector posts. Mamata and Madhu are twin sisters of the four children of Lingappa and Bhagyamma from Laviggere village. Thirteen years have passed since their father died. Bhagyamma raised her four children alone. Bhagyamma had earlier married off her other two daughters. These twins managed to become Sub-Inspectors.
Madhu was selected as a PSI in 2019 and is currently training in Mysore. This year, Mamata has also been selected as a PSI and will start training soon.
