Jharkhand: Tusker found dead in Palamu's Betla National Park

An elephant’s carcass has been found in Betla National Park of Jharkhand's Latehar. This is the fourth such incident reported from the park after a tigress and two other animals were found dead. The reason for death is yet to be known.

Latehar (Jharkhand): A female wild tusker was found dead in Betla National Park in Jharkhand's Latehar district on Tuesday.

The park is located in Palamu Tiger Reserve.

On getting information, park ranger Prem Prasad reached the spot and sealed the park by fencing it to maintain a strict vigil.

"The reason for the death could be ascertained after the autopsy is done," Prasad said while speaking exclusively to ETV Bharat.

Recently, a tigress and two other animals were also found dead in the park.
