Ahmedabad: A scuffle broke out at Congress leader Hardik Patel’s public meeting in Gujarat's Ahmedabad on Saturday.
The reason behind the incident is yet to be ascertained.
A video from the incident shows that the scuffle broke out moments after Hardik Patel began his address to the gathering.
The protesters can be seen breaking chairs, while Patel can be heard asking them to remain calm.
Following the incident, Patel alleged that the obstruction to the rally was caused by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers
"These BJP workers will keep obstructing. Let them do it," said Hardik.
Earlier on Friday, the Congress leader was slapped by a man while addressing a poll rally in a village in Surendranagar district. The man identified as Tarun Gajjar.
In the video of the incident, Tarun was seen walking on the stage and slapping Patel.
