Patna: Special Task Force arrested at least five people for supplying firearms and explosives to the Naxalite fighters in Bihar and Jharkhand.
Explosives were recovered during a raid conducted in a service centre for bikes and four-wheelers located in Gajadharchak in Danapur on Thursday.

According to police, on the basis of the information, a raid was conducted, in which four detonators, safety pins, lever hand grenades, two safety fuses, one precursor switch, two hand grenades, three rocket launcher and maps have been recovered.

According to STF sources, Mohammed Baruddin, Rakesh Singh, Gautam Singh, his father Parshuram Singh and Sanjay Singh were arrested in the raid.

Gautam, a key member of the gang, is a native of Bistol village. The service centre was used as cover for supplying firearms and explosives for Naxalite fighters in Bihar and Jharkhand, police said.
