Patna (Bihar): There is a steady increase in the number of coronavirus cases in Bihar as it continues to wreak havoc. At the same time, the lack of Personal Protective Equipment Kit (PPE) to doctors, nurses and medical staff treating people infected with Coronavirus in the country and providing them with the World Health Organization standards is nothing short of a challenge.
Meanwhile, a doctor from Bhagalpur in Bihar has prepared a kit for herself and her husband from the car's cover itself.
Dr Geeta Rani, Assistant Professor of the Obs & Gynecology Department of Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Bhagalpur, performs her duty by wearing a kit prepared from the cover of the car.
Rani said, "We showed a video on YouTube to a tailor and got the kit stitched. This kit is completely safe to protect against corona, it can be washed and used again and again."
Rani also said that it is our social responsibility to see patients so under no circumstances we can avoid that.
"It is necessary to take some measures to avoid the infection of coronavirus especially in a situation where corona-infected patients are admitted to the hospital," said Rani.
She also advised people of the country to use umbrellas in order to maintain social distancing.
Rani also informed about her self-made kit to the chief minister Nitish Kumar and Union Health Minister Dr Harshvardhan.
