Mumbai: Taapsee Pannu and Tahir Raj Bhasin have been roped in to headline the Hindi adaption of the celebrated German thriller Run Lola Run. Title as Looop Lapeta, the flick will be helmed by Aakash Bhatia
Taapsee seems to be on a film signing spree as the actor who already has three films at various stages of production, has bagged yet another with Sony Pictures Films India and Ellipsis Entertainment.
The makers took to social media to announce the film. Run Lola Run, one of the standout films from the 1990s, won seven honours at the German Film Awards. The film was a hit at the Toronto International Film Festival and got the audience vote at the Sundance Film Festival, going on to find itself a cult following
While speaking to a leading tabloid, Taapsee said the thematically bold film is laced with amazing cheeky straight-faced humour and she can’t wait to get started. The Pink actor also said that she feels privileged to be playing some truly author-backed roles at the moment.
Looop Lapeta is slated to release on January 29, 2021.
