Kartik Aaryan, who is enjoying the success of his latest outing Pati Patni Aur Woh, says his parents are always confused about the happenings in his personal life.

Mumbai: Actor Kartik Aaryan is making headlines for his personal and professional life. The actor, who is not bothered by what is being written and said about him. But, the scrutiny around his personal life definitely affects his parents.

2019 was a fantastic year for the Gwalior-born actor. Four months back, Kartik bought a house in Mumbai to bring his parents who are doctor by profession to live with him. It was his dream to buy an abode in the city of dreams and the back to back success of his films let him fulfill it.

While Kartik's career is flourishing with right choices he is making with each film, the buzz around his personal life too is keeping him under the spotlight. However, his parents who have recently shifted their base from Madhya Pradesh, are apparently finding it difficult to wrap their heads around what is being out there in the media about their son's love life.

Kartik in an interview was asked if his parents give him any relationship advice. In his reply, Kartik said they keep on asking him often "what is going on in your life?"

"They don't know anything. They only read newspapers and watch it on TV," said Kartik before he diverted the conversation to his work.

For unversed, Kartik was apparently dating Sara Ali Khan before the reports of their alleged breakup and link up rumours with Ananya Pandey surfaced. Dating reports of Ananya and Kartik left everyone bewildered apparently including his parents.

The 29-year-old actor will be seen alongside his rumoured ex Sara Ali Khan in Imtiaz Ali's romantic drama slated to release in February next year. He will also be seen in Anees Baazmee's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, a sequel to Priyadarshan's 2007 blockbuster Bhool Bhulaiyaa. He has also wrapped up shooting for Karan Johar produced Dostana 2.
