Actress Alankrita robbed at knifepoint in Chandigarh

Bollywood actress Alankrita Sahai has been robbed in her Sector-27 residence. An unidentified assailant entered her house and robbed her at knifepoint. The assailant ran away with Rs 6 lakhs cash. Meanwhile, the police have started the investigation and trying to ascertain the identity of the accused by checking the CCTV footage in the area.

Chandigarh: Bollywood actress Alankrita Sahai has been robbed in her Sector-27 residence. Unidentified assailants entered her house and robbed her at knifepoint. The assailants ran away with Rs 6 lakhs cash. Meanwhile, the police have started the investigation and trying to ascertain the identity of the accused by checking the CCTV footage in the area.

According to the information received, Alankrita Sahai is living in a rented house in Sector-27. She had rented this house only a month back. The police received a call around 2.40 pm and were informed about the theft.

On receiving the complaint, the police reached the spot and spoke to Alankrita Sahai. She informed police that she was alone at home on Tuesday afternoon when three masked men entered her house. One of them placed a knife on her neck. After this, the miscreants fled with Rs 6 lakh cash. Alankrita said that she had rented this house a month ago and her parents had gone to Delhi three weeks ago on some work.

The actress also added that the robbers took her ATM card and withdrew Rs 50,000 cash before returning the card. During the entire episode, Alankrita somehow managed to lock herself in the bathroom. She screamed for help and the robbers fled through her balcony. Meanwhile, Chandigarh Police have found some leads and also raided the house of one of the accused. As per sources, Alankrita had ordered some furniture for her flat. She believes that one of the robbers must have come to her flat during the furniture delivery.
