Begusarai: Launching a scathing attack on West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee, firebrand BJP leader Giriraj Singh on Tuesday likened her to North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
Accusing the Trinamool Congress chief of killing democracy, he also questioned the silence of Opposition leaders like Congress President Rahul Gandhi and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu over the same.
"After the exit polls, the opposition is so scared, that after 23 May, they will start the EVM blame game. They could never measure the intensity of the Modi wave existing in the country," he said.
The leader went on to say that the Opposition made it seem like PM Modi was also representing them. Instead of talking about their own candidate, the opposition, focused on bad mouthing Modi. "Modi was the only issue that they could speak of," he added.
Condemning the violence that took place in West Bengal during all the poll phases, he said that chief minister Banerjee was turning into a dictator. Likening her to Kim Jong-un, he said that she is getting on the track where she will behead anyone who goes against her.
Giriraj Singh also assured that the state will see the defeat of Mamata-led TMC government and the rise of the BJP government after the election results are out.
