New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Sambit Patra on Monday slammed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal over the management of the current COVID situation in the national capital.

He said, "Arvind Kejriwal spent Rs 804.93 crores on advertisement since 2015. But he didn't open a single hospital during his 7-year rule. Before forming his government, Kejriwal had promised to add 30,000 new hospital beds."

He said that it is against humanity if any patient suffers due to lack of oxygen but there should be no politics over it.

"If the Government of India can give oxygen to Maharashtra and other states, why do you (Delhi Govt) think that GoI is adopting a different approach towards Delhi?," Patra added.

Slamming the Delhi CM over the vaccine issue, Patra said Kejriwal misled people by spreading a lie that he placed an order for 1.34 crore doses of vaccine but in reality, he placed the order of only 5.50 lakh doses.

He further said that there is a crunch of ventilators in Delhi's hospitals because the Aam Aadmi Party government did not procure them at the right time.

Patra further added that the national capital is being provided with enough oxygen by the Centre still the Kejriwal govt is indulged in petty politics over the shortage of life-saving gas.
