New Delhi: The BJP Morcha Presidents met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence in Delhi on Saturday. The meeting was held mainly to discuss the outreach of the government's schemes to the people, the Covid-19 situation and the elections in five states next year.
Party president JP Nadda also held a meeting with the Morcha chiefs, ahead of their meeting with Modi.
Shiv Prakash, joint general secretary (organization), and BL Santhosh were among the several party leaders at the meeting.

The year 2022 is going to be important for the Bharatiya Janata Party, as five states are scheduled to go to the polls next year. Barring Punjab, the rest of the four states Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand are ruled by the BJP.
During their 7-hour meeting with the Prime Minister, the party has also decided to appoint new election in-charges in all the five states.
Although the Bharatiya Janata Party does not want to make any major changes at the moment, it may decide to decentralize responsibilities.

Even though Punjab is a Congress-ruled state, all the local BJP leaders have already been instructed to go into election mode.
