1. 27,600 litres of chemicals containing spirit seized by Punjab Excise Dept
Cracking down further on the illicit liquor trading and smuggling in Punjab, the Excise Department got a major breakthrough when it seized a big haul of 27,600 litres of chemicals containing spirit from three places. It was stored in 136 drums of 200 litres capacity each.
2. Mortal remains of late Captain DV Sathe brought to Air India building in Mumbai
The mortal remains of Captain Deepak Sathe, who was pilot-in-command of the ill-fated Air India Express plane that crashed in Kerala, were brought to Air India building in Mumbai. The mortal remains were kept at the Air India facility near the Terminal 2 of the Chhatrapati Shivaji international airport where Air India staff and other senior officials paid their last respect to the deceased Captain.
