Srinagar (JK): The union territory of Jammu and Kashmir is known for its art and architecture all over the world. There are many arts that were born in Kashmir itself and are famous over the world.
Showcasing the art of Kashmir and to give a face to the art of Valley, five teenage girls in Srinagar organised an exhibition where arts of different kinds were exhibited.
The main aim of the exhibition was to attract the people from different parts and to convince the youth of the valley to work towards making the art alive again as the art in the valley has not diminished.
Saman and her four friends helped people from different areas of art to showcase their talent and present their art so that it reaches the common man.
The initiative taken by the five girls is being appreciated as people associated with different allied arts were able to come together under one roof to present their art.
Saman, one of the main organisers of the exhibition while talking to ETV Bharat said that they have created a platform at the student level so that architecture and allied arts reach a layman. She also said that when artists from different levels and areas come together and work together, space is created where art is discussed.

The young artists can also learn from the professionals.
Different kinds of arts were exhibited which includes Papier Machie, (Pulped paper) a famous art of making beautiful things out of waste paper, photographs, paintings, different kinds of indigenous Kashmiri musical instruments.
The exhibition has also given an opportunity for different artists to present their masterpieces.
According to Inbisat, an artist, the exhibition has given them an opportunity to showcase their talent at such a platform and it has filled the amateur artists with excitement and enthusiasm.
Nisar Ahmad, a Papier Machie artist said that this is a great initiative of young boys and girls to keep the art alive. He praised the move, saying that it proves that young boys and girls are very interested in the historical art of Kashmir and they are also interested in helping the art and artists to reach a new level.
A visitor at the exhibition said that this was a great initiative taken by the young girls which helped her to know more about Kashmiri culture and art.
