As India is facing a shortage of PPE kits which led many health workers to leave their jobs due to the safety issues, this Nano coating can help at large scale to contain the spread of the virus.

With the help of this nano-coating, used masks and PPE kits will be disinfected in 10 to 15 minutes and can be used again to contain the spread Coronavirus.

This coating system is also effective in diseases such as Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli.

According to Professor Naveen of Biotechnology and Nano Technology Center department and who led the research said that the nano-coating system is very important for health workers to protect the gowns, gloves, PPE and face masks. This nano-coating will give extra protection against pathogens and will be successful in preventing the spread of the virus.

"This formula also contains silver nanoparticle and antimicrobials that show synergistic effects against pathogens. Nano-coating systems developed using the combined effect of more than three antimicrobials compounds can be sprayed on any surface. Since the phytochemicals used in this formula act to destroy the virus. Because of which, it will help to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus." Professor Naveen said.
