Lucknow (UP): The national spokesperson for the Aam Aadmi Party Sanjay Singh Tuesday slammed the UP government over the Lakhimpur Kheri violence and said "look at Adityanath's justice, how the killers are still out of custody and for 30 hours we are in police custody in Biswan, Sitapur." A viral video showing one of the SUVs mowing down protesting farmers in Uttar Pradesh's Lakhimpur Kheri has been doing rounds on social media.
Taking to Twitter, the AAP MP said, "The video that surfaced yesterday is shocking and shows how the vehicles of the BJP minister trampled the farmers. Look at Adityanath's justice, how the killers are still out of custody and for 30 hours we are in police custody in Biswan, Sitapur."
It is known that the UP Police had stopped the AAP MP from visiting the district.

Earlier today, senior Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra too had shared the video and tweeted," @narendramodi Sir, your government has kept me in custody for the last 28 hours without any order and FIR. This person who crushed the food donor has not been arrested yet. Why?"
On Sunday night Priyanka Gandhi was detained in Sitapur when she was on her way to the violence-hit Lakhimpur Kheri district.
Meanwhile, Congress has alleged that drones were deployed to monitor the movement of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in Sitapur. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel tweeted a video of drones monitoring," who will take responsibility, whose drone is this and why."
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi Tuesday described his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra as "fearless" and a "true Congressi" who will not accept defeat. He also asserted that he "satyagraha" will not stop.

"The one who has been kept in custody is fearless — is a true Congressi, will not accept defeat! Satyagraha will not stop," Rahul Gandhi said in a tweet in Hindi, using the hashtag 'FarmersProtest'.
Further, Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav tweeted saying that Uttar Pradesh is mourning the killings of farmers and also expressing his displeasure over the entire episode.
"What is the CM's SIT engaged in the investigation now waiting for? Immediately, the accused Union Minister should be sacked from his post and his son should be arrested," read a tweet from the official handle of the Samajwadi Party.
