Importance of November 9:
At the end of World War II, Germany was divided into 4 parts. US, British and French sector became the West Berlin and Soviet region became East Berlin. Between 1949 and 1961, more than 2.6 million East Germans fled to West Germany and Berlin Wall was built in 1961 to prevent it. But on November 9, 1989, political changes in Eastern Europe and civil unrest in Germany forced the government to break this wall. The event sent a message of community outreach worldwide.
Thirty years after the Berlin Wall was broken, history is repeating itself. India and Pakistan are opening a Kartarpur intersection on November 9 to convey a message of mutual brotherhood, which will deliver a message of solidarity worldwide.

India-Pakistan relation:
However, from Pulwama attack to the removal of section 370 from Kashmir, there has been a warlike situation between Pakistan and India. Despite this, the work on the route has not stopped and according to its announcement, India and Pakistan are going to open the route on November 9.
We may call it a coincidence or something else, but the Berlin Wall has demolished 30 years ago on the same day to convey the message of mutual brotherhood and now the Kartarpur intersection is inaugurated.
