Pune (Maharashtra): Veteran Bollywood actor Nana Patekar has made a shocking revelation that Manya Surve, a well-known don from Mumbai, was his cousin. He also said that his mother took Nana back to his village in Murud to prevent him from following his brother's path.
He further alleged that it is riots that provoke a man to go violent, though his actual nature need not be so. He was addressing a crowd at Kalarang Cultural Arts Institute, held in Pimpri-Chinchwad here.
He has also disclosed that his maternal relatives were also having a similar history like Manya Surve, but their existence is unknown now.
He said that hooligans are generally quiet people and it is an educated hooligan, who creates a mess in the society.
Nana further alleged that during riots, the most violent person is a common man. But leaving this unnoticed is a crime by itself as they end up keeping everything to themselves.
He believes that politicians need to be questioned as well.
"If you vote, then you have the right to ask questions," Nana further added.
Nana stated that the politicians are surviving on our votes so we need to speak up but we stay quiet and this creates problems for all.
