'Shastra puja' can’t be 'tamasha', Kharge is an atheist, says Sanjay Nirupam

Terming Mallikarjun Kharge an atheist for his remark, rebel Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam said that 'Shastra Puja' cannot be called a 'tamasha' after Defence Minister Rajnath Singh performed it on the first Rafale fighter aircraft on Tuesday.

New Delhi: Rebel Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam on Wednesday said that 'Shastra Puja' cannot be called a “tamasha” as termed by Mallikarjun Kharge after Defence Minister Rajnath Singh performed it on the first Rafale fighter aircraft on Tuesday.

Nirupam also claimed that Kharge is an atheist.

"The problem is that Mallikarjun Kharge is an atheist but in the Congress party not everyone is an atheist," said Nirupam.
