বিশ্বকাপে এখনও অপরাজিত ভারত । তবে, আজ আফগানিস্তানের পারফরমেন্স ছিল দুর্দান্ত । স্লথ ব্যাটিং ভারতকে ভুগিয়েছে । শেষদিকে, ধোনিরাও তেমন কিছু করে দেখাতে পারেননি । বলার মতো রান করেছেন কোহলি (67) ও কেদার (52) । শেষমেশ ভারত 224 রান তুলতে সক্ষম হয় ।

আজ জয়ের ক্ষেত্রে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা নেয় ভারতীয় বোলিং বিভাগ । বুমরা-শামি জুটি এককথায় দুর্ধর্ষ । শামি হ্যাটট্রিকও করেন । মাত্র 40 রান দিয়ে 4 উইকেট তুলে নেন তিনি । এদিকে, 10 ওভার বল করে বুমরা দেন মাত্র 39 রান । তাঁর দখলে আসে 2 উইকেট । ম্যান অফ দা ম্যাচ তিনিই । ভালো বোলিং করেছেন, চহ্বাল, কুলদীপরাও ।

ম্যাচ শেষে বিরাট বলেন, "পরিকল্পনা ছিল, বুমরা 49 তম ওভারে চাপ বাড়াবে । যার ফলে শামি শেষ ওভার মুক্ত মনে করতে পারবে । সেটাই হয়েছে । মাঝের ওভারগুলোয় চহ্বাল, কুলদীপরা কৃপণ বোলিং করেছে ।"
আফগানিস্তানের প্রশংসাতেও পঞ্চমুখ কোহলি । বলেন, "সত্যিকথা বলছি, আমাদের কাছে ম্যাচটা খুব কঠিন ছিল । প্রথম দিকে একটা পরিকল্পনাও ঠিকঠাক খাটছিল না । যখন পরিকল্পনা খাটে না, তখন আপনাকে অপেক্ষা করতে হয় । সঠিক সময়ে দুর্দান্ত লড়াই করে দল ফিরে এসেছে । শেষ বল পর্যন্ত লড়াই হয়েছে । আমাদের কনফিডেন্স অনেকটাই বাড়ল ।"
