প্রয়াত ‘সন্তুর’বাদক শিবকুমার শর্মা । মঙ্গলবার মুম্বইয়ে নিজের বাড়িতেই হৃদ্‌রোগে আক্রান্ত হন কিংবদন্তি সন্তুরবাদক (PM Narendra Modi and CM Mamata Banerjee mourn the loss) ।

মুম্বই, 10 মে : ‘সন্তুর’, বাদ্যযন্ত্রটির সঙ্গে শাস্ত্রীয় সঙ্গীতের শ্রোতাদের প্রেমে ফেলার অন্যতম হোতা শিবকুমার শর্মা ৷ জম্মুতে জন্ম, মুম্বইয়ে এসে শুরু সুরের সাধনা ৷ এদিন হৃদ্‌রোগে আক্রান্ত হয়ে প্রয়াত হলেন কিংবদন্তি শিল্পী ৷ মৃত্যকালে বয়স হয়েছিল 84 বছর (PM Narendra Modi and CM Mamata Banerjee mourn the loss of Shivkumar Sharma)।

তাঁর মৃত্যুতে শোকজ্ঞাপন করেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদি ৷ শোকবার্তা এসেছে রাজ্যের মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের তরফ থেকেও ৷ নরেন্দ্র মোদি টুইটারে লেখেন, ‘‘পণ্ডিত শিবকুমার শর্মাজির মৃত্যু সাংস্কৃতিক জগতের জন্য বড় ক্ষতি । তিনি সন্তুরকে বিশ্বব্যাপী জনপ্রিয় করেছিলেন। তাঁর সৃষ্টি আগামী প্রজন্মকে মুগ্ধ করবে । আমি তাঁর সঙ্গে আমার আলাপচারিতার স্মৃতিচারণ করছি ৷ তাঁর পরিবার ও ভক্তদের প্রতি সমবেদনা জানাই ৷ ওম শান্তি ।’’

ভারতীয় শাস্ত্রীয় সঙ্গীতের রাজপথে জম্মু ও কাশ্মীরের স্বল্পপরিচিত ‘সন্তুর’ নামক বাদ্যযন্ত্রটিকে পৌঁছে দিয়েছিলেন তিনি ৷ 1956 সালে শান্তারাম বাবুর নৃত্যকেন্দ্রীক সিনেমা ‘ঝনক ঝনক পায়েল বাজে’-র একটি দৃশ্যের জন্য আবহসঙ্গীত রচনা করেন শিবকুমার শর্মা । 1960 সালে প্রকাশিত হয় তাঁর প্রথম একক অ্যালবাম । 1967 সালে, বাঁশিবাদক হরিপ্রসাদ চৌরাসিয়া এবং গিটারবাদক ব্রিজভূষণ কাবরার সঙ্গে ‘কল অফ দ্য ভ্যালি’ তৈরি করেন ৷ যা পরে ভারতীয় শাস্ত্রীয় সঙ্গীতের অন্যতম সেরা ‘হিট’ হিসেবে পরিণত হয় ।

বাঁশিবাদক হরিপ্রসাদ চৌরাসিয়ার সঙ্গে জুটি বেঁধে কালজয়ী সুরসৃষ্টি শিবকুমার । 1980 সালে ‘সিলসিলা’ থেকে শুরু হওয়া জুটির সুরসাধনা চলেছে চারদশক । ফাঁসলে (1985), চাঁদনি (1989), লামহে (1991), ডর (1993)। জুটির প্রত্যেকটি সিনেমাই ছিল এক-একটি মিউজিক্যাল হিট ৷
