দিল্লি, 27 জুলাই : কলকাতা, মুম্বই ও নয়ডায় ICMR-এর অত্যাধুনিক কোরোনা পরীক্ষার ল্যাবরেটরি প্রস্তুত করা হয়েছে । এই ল্যাবরেটরি তিনটির আজ আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে উদ্বোধন করেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদি । উদ্বোধনের ভার্চুয়াল অনুষ্ঠানে ছিলেন তিন রাজ্যের মুখ্যমন্ত্রীও ।
কোরোনা ভাইরাসের টেস্ট করার জন্য নতুন যন্ত্র কোভাস-এর উদ্বোধন করেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী । ঠিক সময়ে সঠিক সিদ্ধান্তের জন্য আজ ভারত বিশ্বের অনেক দেশের তুলনায় ভালো জায়গায় আছে । আজকের ভার্চুয়াল অনুষ্ঠানে বললেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী ।
তিনি বলেন, "ঠিক সময়ে সঠিক সিদ্ধান্তের জন্য অন্য দেশগুলির তুলনায় ভালো জায়গায় আছে ভারত । প্রথম সারির অনেক দেশের তুলনায় আমাদের দেশে (কোরোনায়) মৃত্যু হার অনেক কম এবং সুস্থতার হার অনেকটাই বেশি ।"
দেশের প্রতিটি মানুষের সুস্থতা যে এখন প্রথম লক্ষ্য, তা আজ আরও একবার জানিয়ে রাখলেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী । "দেশে 11 লাখেরও বেশি বিশেষ আইসোলেশন বেড রয়েছে । ল্যাবরেটরি রয়েছে 1300 টি । প্রতিটি দেশবাসীর সুরক্ষাই প্রধান লক্ষ্য । "

তিনি আরও বলেন, আগে N-95 মাস্ক বাইরের দেশ থেকে আনা হত । এখন দেশে প্রতিদিন 5 লাখ N-95 মাস্ক তৈরি হচ্ছে । ছয় মাস আগেও দেশে PPE কিট তৈরি হত না । আর এখন PPE তৈরিতে বিশ্বে দ্বিতীয় স্থানে রয়েছে ভারত ।

প্রধানমন্ত্রীর কথায় এই নতুন ল্যাবগুলি তৈরি হওয়ায় আরও শক্তিশালী হবে কোরোনার বিরুদ্ধে লড়াই । এখন দেশে প্রতিদিন পাঁচ লাখেরও বেশি সোয়াবের নমুনা পরীক্ষা করা হয় । নতুন ল্যাবরেটরি আসায় এই প্রতিদিন 10 লাখ নমুনা পরীক্ষার লক্ষ্যমাত্রা ছোঁয়া যাবে বলে আশাবাদী তিনি ।
এই নতুন রোগ পরীক্ষার ল্যাবরেটরিগুলিতে যে শুধুমাত্র কোরোনা ভাইরাসের সোয়াবের পরীক্ষাই হবে তা নয়, ভবিষ্যতে হেপাটাইটিস বি, হেপাটাইটিস সি, HIV ও ডেঙ্গিরও পরীক্ষা হবে এখানে ।
