టీమిండియా తొలిసారి ఆడనున్న డే/నైట్ టెస్టు మ్యాచ్ రాత్రి 8 గంటల వరకే నిర్వహించనుంది బీసీసీఐ. ఆ తర్వాత మంచు ప్రభావం వల్ల ఆట కష్టంగా మారుతుందని అభిప్రాయపడింది. ఈ నెల 22 నుంచి 26 వరకు గులాబి బంతితో సుదీర్ఘ మ్యాచ్ ఆడనున్నాయి భారత్-బంగ్లా జట్లు.

కోల్‌కతాలోని ఈడెన్ గార్డెన్స్ వేదికగా ఈ నెల 22 నుంచి 26 వరకు భారత్-బంగ్లాదేశ్‌ మధ్య చారిత్రక డే/నైట్ టెస్టు జరగనుంది. తొలిసారి ఇరుజట్లు ఈ పద్ధతిలో మ్యాచ్ను ఆడనున్నాయి. అయితే ఈ మ్యాచ్ను మధ్యాహ్నం 1 గంట నుంచి రాత్రి 8 గంటల వరకు నిర్వహించనుంది బీసీసీఐ. రాత్రి 8 గంటల తర్వాత మంచు ప్రభావం ఎక్కువగా ఉండనున్న నేపథ్యంలో ముందుగానే మ్యాచ్ను ప్రారంభించనున్నట్లు అధికారులు తెలిపారు.
"బంగాల్‌ క్రికెట్ అసోషియేషన్ (క్యాబ్‌) అభ్యర్థన మేరకు ఆట నిర్వహణ సమయంలో మార్పులు చేస్తున్నాం. మ్యాచ్ను మధ్యాహ్నం 1 గంటకు ప్రారంభిస్తాం. తొలి సెషన్‌ మధ్యాహ్నం మూడు గంటలకు ముగుస్తుంది. 3:40కి ప్రారంభమయ్యే రెండో సెషన్‌ సాయంత్రం 5:40వరకు కొనసాగుతుంది. ఆఖరి సెషన్‌ సాయంత్రం 6 గంటల నుంచి రాత్రి 8 గంటల వరకు జరుగుతుంది. ఫలితంగా మ్యాచ్‌పై మంచు తీవ్రత అంతగా ఉండదు."

మంచు ప్రభావాన్ని అధిగమించడానికి మ్యాచ్ను ముందుగా నిర్వహించాలని క్యాబ్‌ క్యురేటర్‌ సుజన్‌ తెలిపారు. "మంచు తీవ్రత రాత్రి 8 నుంచి 8.30 వరకు అధికమవుతుందని గత కొన్ని మ్యాచుల్లో పరిశీలించాం. అందుకే ఆట సమయంలో మార్పులు చేస్తే ఆ సమస్య అధిగమించవచ్చు. సాధారణంగా అంతర్జాతీయ మ్యాచ్‌లకు సిద్ధం చేసే పిచ్‌లనే డే/నైట్ టెస్టుకు తయారుచేస్తాం. దీనిలో పెద్దగా మార్పులు ఏమి ఉండవు" అని వెల్లడించారు.
భారత్ ఆడుతున్నతొలి డే/ నైట్ టెస్టును వీక్షించేందుకు... తొలి మూడు రోజులు దాదాపు 50 వేల మంది ప్రేక్షకులు స్టేడియానికి రావచ్చని అంచనా వేస్తున్నారు.

మంచు ప్రభావాన్ని అధిగమించడానికి మ్యాచ్ను ముందుగా నిర్వహించాలని క్యాబ్‌ క్యురేటర్‌ సుజన్‌ తెలిపారు. "మంచు తీవ్రత రాత్రి 8 నుంచి 8.30 వరకు అధికమవుతుందని గత కొన్ని మ్యాచుల్లో పరిశీలించాం. అందుకే ఆట సమయంలో మార్పులు చేస్తే ఆ సమస్య అధిగమించవచ్చు. సాధారణంగా అంతర్జాతీయ మ్యాచ్‌లకు సిద్ధం చేసే పిచ్‌లనే డే/నైట్ టెస్టుకు తయారుచేస్తాం. దీనిలో పెద్దగా మార్పులు ఏమి ఉండవు" అని వెల్లడించారు.
భారత్ ఆడుతున్నతొలి డే/ నైట్ టెస్టును వీక్షించేందుకు... తొలి మూడు రోజులు దాదాపు 50 వేల మంది ప్రేక్షకులు స్టేడియానికి రావచ్చని అంచనా వేస్తున్నారు.

What's claimed to be the "fastest fully-electric hyper car in the world" has debuted at the Dubai International Motor Show, racing from 0-60 miles per-hour in just 1.69 seconds.
The biennial event is playing host to around 40 global and regional debuts.
STORYLINE:
Meet Owl. Japan-based automotive firm Aspark is debuting its fully electric hyper car project in Dubai.
Racing from 0-60 miles per-hour in just 1.69 seconds, it's claimed to be the "fastest fully-electric hyper car in the world".
That's just 0.16 seconds faster than the Rimac C_Two.
Key to Owl's speed is its aerodynamic design and the four motors that combined deliver 2012 horsepower and a top speed of 400 kilometres per-hour.
But you'll have to rush if you want to get your hands on one - the company says it will only be making 50 of the hyper cars, each priced at 2.9 million euros ($3.2 million USD).
Project director Kiyoyuki Kawanaka says they're yet to sell out.
"This car is 2.9 million euros, so very expensive. So, very rich people. In our research, the few people is maybe they have 20 cars, or 30 cars," he says.
General Motors brand Chevrolet has chosen Dubai for the auto show debut of its new 2020 Corvette Stingray.
Racing from 0-60 miles per-hour in less than three seconds, the new Stingray is claimed to be the fastest in the models' history.
"A lot of times, we talk about cars, it's about the next generation. This one's not about the next generation. This is about the next level of Corvette," says John Roth, president and managing director of Africa and Middle East at Chevrolet.
UAE-based auto project Ajlani Motors is debuting its first design - named "Drakuma" - at the motor show.
For now, the hyper car is just a concept. It's hoped to be production-ready by 2021. There will only be 99 made.
Founder and CEO Bashr Ajlani says the Drakuma will have a V8 combustion engine, but the follow-up will likely be all-electric.
"Drakuma would be the fire dragon and is gonna have an internal combustion engine. Hopefully in the next car we would do electric, that would be a thunder dragon," he says.
Jaguar Land Rover has brought its reinvented Defender to Dubai.
The British auto maker cancelled the rugged 4x4 in 2016 due to safety and emission standards.
The new Defender arrives ready for the drivers of today, with plug-in hybrid electric options and infotainment system, but still with all-terrain abilities.
"The world is changed, people have changed, social landscapes changed, people's needs have changed. But what is important is the essence of the car, the spirit, the pioneering spirit of the vehicle, and the new Defender delivers just that," says Massimo Frascella, creative director at Land Rover Design.
The Dubai International Motor Show runs till 16 November 2019.
According to organisers, the biennial event is playing host to around 40 global and regional car launches and over 500 million UAE dirhams' ($136 million USD) worth of supercars.
