ਇਸ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ 3 ਦਸੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਊਯਾਰਕ ਵਿਖੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਪ੍ਰਿਅੰਕਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਯੂਨੀਸੈਫ ਨਾਲ ਕੰਮ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਣ ਹੈ। ਪ੍ਰਿਅੰਕਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, "ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਯੂਨੈਸਫ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰਾ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਹੈ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ, ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਬੇਹਦ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ।"
ਜ਼ਿਕਰਯੋਗ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਿਅੰਕਾ ਸਾਲ 2006 ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਯੂਨੀਸੈਫ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਲ 2010 ਅਤੇ 2016 ਵਿੱਚ ਚਾਈਲਡ ਰਿਸਰਚ ਲਈ ਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਐਂਡ ਗਲੋਬਲ ਯੂਨੀਸੇਫ ਗੁਡਵਿਲ ਅੰਬੈਸਡਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਨਿਯੁਕਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
