अहमदाबाद : क्रिकेट वर्ल्ड कप 2023 के फाइनल में टीम इंडिया को हराकर ऑस्ट्रेलिया ने रिकॉर्ड छठी बार खिताब पर अपना कब्जा जमाया. दुनिया के सबसे बड़े नरेंद्र मोदी स्टेडियम में रविवार को खेले गए इस मैच में टीम इंडिया की हार के साथ 140 करोड़ देशवासियों का दिल टूट गया. भारतीय खिलाड़ियों को भी मैच के बाद भावुक होकर वापस पवेलियन लौटते हुए देखा गया. कप्तान रोहित शर्मा और तेज गेंदबाज मोहम्मद सिराज के आंखों में आंसू थे. बाकि अन्य खिलाड़ियों के चेहरों पर भी निराशा साफ देखी गई.

भारत के प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी भी टीम इंडिया को चियर्स करने के लिए कल अहमदाबाद पहुंचे थे. उन्होंने खिताब जीतने वाले ऑस्ट्रेलिया के कप्तान पैट कमिंस को ट्रॉफी भी सौंपी. इसके बाद मोदी भारतीय खिलाड़ियों का दुख बांटने के लिए ड्रेसिंग रूम पहुंचे और उनका हौसला हौसला बढ़ाया.

भारत को वर्ल्ड कप 2023 के फाइनल तक पहुंचाने में तेज गेंदबाज मोहम्मद शमी ने अहम भूमिका निभाई थी. शुरुआती 4 मैचों में प्लेइंग-11 से बाहर रहने के बावजूद शमी ने 7 मैचों में सबसे ज्यादा 24 विकेट लेकर टीम इंडिया को शिखर मुकाबले तक पहुंचाया. न्यूजीलैंड के खिलाफ सेमीफाइनल में शमी ने 7 विकेट अपने नाम किए थे.
