मुंबई: जॉनी बेयरस्टो (56) की शानदार पारी की बदौलत वानखेड़े स्टेडियम में शनिवार को खेले जा रहे आईपीएल 2022 के 52वें मुकाबले में पंजाब किंग्स (पीबीकेएस) ने राजस्थान रॉयल्स (आरआर) को 190 रनों का लक्ष्य दिया. पंजाब ने 20 ओवरों में पांच विकेट खोकर 189 रन बनाए.
राजस्थान की ओर से युजवेंद्र चहल ने तीने विकेट झटके. वहीं, आर अश्विन और प्रसिद्ध कृष्णा ने एक-एक विकेट लिया. इससे पहले, टॉस जीतकर पहले बल्लेबाजी पंजाब ने पावरप्ले में एक विकेट गंवाकर 48 रन बनाए. इस दौरान, सलामी बल्लेबाज शिखर धवन (12) अश्विन की गेंद पर जोस बटलर को कैच थमा बैठे. इसके बाद, जॉनी बेयरस्टो और भानुका राजपक्षे ने मिलकर 10 ओवरों में टीम के स्कोर को 80 से ऊपर पहुंचा दिया. लेकिन 10.2 ओवर में चहल की गेंद पर राजपक्षे (27) बोल्ड होकर पवेलियन लौट गए.

चौथे नंबर पर आए कप्तान मयंक अग्रवाल ने बेयरस्टो के साथ मिलकर पारी को आगे बढ़ाया. इस बीच, बेयरस्टो ने तेज गति से रन बनाते हुए अपना अर्धशतक भी पूरा कर लिया. लेकिन 15वें ओवर में चहल ने दो विकेट लेकर राजस्थान की कमर तोड़ दी, क्योंकि उन्होंने कप्तान मंयक (15) और बेयरस्टो (आठ चौके और एक छक्के की मदद से 40 गेंदों में 56 रन बनाकर) को पवेलियन भेज दिया.

राजस्थान ने 15 ओवर में चार विकेट खोकर 122 रन बनाए. जितेश शर्मा और लियाम लिविंगस्टोन ने कुछ अच्छे शॉट खेले, जिससे 18 ओवरों के बाद टीम ने चार विकेट गंवाकर 158 रन जोड़े. 19वें ओवर में कृष्णा की गेंद पर लिविंगस्टोन दो छक्के और एक चौका मारकर 14 गेंदों में 22 रन बनाकर बोल्ड हो गए. 20वें ओवर में कुलदीप सेन की गेंदों पर 16 रन बटोरे, जिससे पंजाब ने पांच विकेट खोकर 189 रन बनाए. जितेश (38) और ऋषि धवन (5) नाबाद वापस लौटे. अब राजस्थान को जीतने के लिए 120 गेंदों में 190 रन बनाने होंगे.
