डोमिनिका : भारत और वेस्टइंडीज के बीच विंडसर पार्क में खेले गए पहले टेस्ट मैच में भारत ने वेस्टइंडीज को पारी और 141 रन से करारी शिकस्त दी. भारत ने तीसरे दिन ही मैच अपने नाम कर लिया. पूरे मैच पर एक नजर डालें तो, टॉस जीतकर पहले बल्लेबाजी करने मैदान पर उतरी वेस्टइंडीज की टीम महज 150 रन पर सिमट गई. वेस्टइंडीज के 5 बल्लेबाज तो दहाई का आंकड़ा भी पार नही कर पाए.

इसके बाद भारत ने कप्तान रोहित शर्मा (103 रन) और अपना डेब्यू टेस्ट मैच खेल रहे यशस्वी जायसवाल (171 रन) की शानदार शतकीय पारियों की बदौलत अपनी पहली पारी 5 विकेट खोकर 421 रन के स्कोर पर घोषित की. फिर वेस्टइंडीज की दूसरी पारी को मैच के तीसरे दिन ही 130 रन पर समेटकर पारी और 141 रनों से एक बड़ी जीत हासिल की. भारत के लिए अश्विन और जायसवाल मैच के हीरो रहे.

यशस्वी जायसवाल ने जड़ा डेब्यू टेस्ट शतक
वेस्टइंडीज के खिलाफ अपने डेब्यू टेस्ट मैच में ही बाएं हाथ के युवा बल्लेबाज यशस्वी जायसवाल ने इतिहास रच दिया. शानदार शतक जड़ते हुए जायसवाल डेब्यू टेस्ट में शतक बनाने वाले 17वें भारतीय बल्लेबाज बने. इसके अलावा भी उन्होंने कई बड़े रिकॉर्ड अपने नाम किए. जायसवाल ने 387 गेंद का सामना करते हुए 171 रनों की शानदार शतकीय पारी खेली. अपनी इस पारी में उन्होंने 16 चौके और 1 छक्का जड़ा. इस बेहतरीन प्रदर्शन के लिए जायसवाल को प्लेयर ऑफ द मैच पुरस्कार से नवाजा गया.
