दुबई: शिखर धवन को 168 मैच लगे अपना पहला आईपीएल शतक जड़ने में लेकिन जब उन्होंने अपना पहला शतक जड़ा तब उसके अगले ही मैच में शिखर ने एक और शानदार शतक बनाया.
अपने इस बैक टू बैक परफॉर्मेंस के बाद शिखर आईपीएल के 13 साल के इतिहास के पहले ऐसे खिलाड़ी बन गए हैं जिन्होंने लगातर 2 मैचों में शतक लगाए हो.
अब वो टूर्नामेंट के 13 साल के इतिहास में पहले क्रिकेटर हैं जिन्होंने बैक टू बैक शतक बनाए हैं.
शिखर के इस कारनामे के बाद ट्विटर पर शानदार ट्वीट्स का जमावड़ा लग गया.
बता दें कि आईपीएल के 13वें सीजन में किंग्स इलेवन पंजाब ने दुबई इंटरनेशनल क्रिकेट स्टेडियम में खेले गए उतार-चढ़ाव भरे मैच में बेहतरीन फॉर्म में चल रही दिल्ली कैपिटल्स को पांच विकेट से हरा दिया.
दिल्ली ने शिखर धवन (नाबाद 106 रन, 61 गेंदें, 12 चौके, 3 छक्के) के लगातार दूसरे आईपीएल शतक के दम पर 20 ओवरों में 5 विकेट खोकर 164 रन बनाए.
खराब शुरूआत के बाद पंजाब मैच से बाहर होती दिख रही थी, तभी निकोलस पूरन (53 रन, 28 गेंद, 6 चौके, 3 छक्के) और ग्लैन मैक्सवेल (32 रन, 24 गेंद, तीन चौके) ने मैच को पंजाब की तरफ मोड़ दिया.
इन दोनों के काम को अंजाम दीपक हुड्डा (नाबाद 15) और जिम्मी नीशम (नाबाद 10) ने दिया. पंजाब ने लक्ष्य को 19वें ओवरों में पांच विकेट खोकर हासिल कर लिया.
