नई दिल्ली : वर्ल्ड रैंकिंग में पांचवें पायदान पर काबिज सिंधु ने ओकुहारा को सीधे गेमों में 21-7, 21-7 से हराया. ये मुकाबला 37 मिनट तक चला. इस जीत के साथ ही सिंधु ने ओकुहारा से खिलाफ अपना करियर रिकॉर्ड 9-7 का कर लिया है.
टोक्यो में भी स्वर्ण पदक जीत सकती है
बिंद्रा ने अपने ट्विटर हैंडल पर लिखा, ''विश्व चैंपियनशिप में स्वर्ण पदक जीतना बेहतरीन उपलब्धि और भारतीय खेलों के लिए शानदार दिन है. मुझे यकीन है कि इससे पीवी सिंधु को आत्मविश्वास मिलेगा कि वो टोक्यो में भी स्वर्ण पदक जीत सकती है. उन्हें और उनकी पूरी टीम को बधाई.

विश्व चैंपियनशिप में स्वर्ण पदक के लिए विहारी, प्रसाद ने सिंधु को बधाई दी
अश्विनी पोनप्पा के साथ मिलकर 2011 में बर्मिंघम विश्व चैंपियनशिप में कांस्य पदक जीतने वाली पूर्व बैडमिंटन खिलाड़ी ज्वाला गुट्टा ने भी सिंधू को बधाई दी और उम्मीद जताई कि उनके प्रदर्शन से खेलों के प्रति रवैये में बदलाव आएगा.
