इंडिया ओपन फाइनल में हारी सात्विक-चिराग की जोड़ी, कैंग-सियो बने चैंपियन

इंडिया ओपन 2024 के पुरुष युगल फाइनल मुकाबले में सात्विकसाईराज रंकीरेड्डी और चिराग शेट्टी की स्टार भारतीय जोड़ी कैंग मिन ह्युक और सियो सेयुंग जेइ की दक्षिण कोरिया की विश्व चैंपियन जोड़ी से हार गई.

नई दिल्ली : भारत के सात्विकसाईराज रंकीरेड्डी और चिराग शेट्टी की दुनिया की दूसरे नंबर की जोड़ी को कैंग मिन ह्युक और सियो सेयुंग जेइ की दक्षिण कोरिया की विश्व चैंपियन जोड़ी के खिलाफ रविवार को यहां पुरुष युगल फाइनल में पहला गेम जीतने के बावजूद हार के साथ इंडिया ओपन सुपर 750 बैडमिंटन टूर्नामेंट में उप विजेता बनकर संतोष करना पड़ा.

सात्विक और चिराग की एशियाई खेलों और राष्ट्रमंडल खेलों की स्वर्ण पदक विजेता जोड़ी को फाइनल में कैंग और सियो की दुनिया की तीसरे नंबर की जोड़ी के खिलाफ एक घंटा और पांच मिनट में 21-15, 11-21, 18-21 से हार का सामना करना पड़ा जिससे यह जोड़ी दूसरी बार इंडिया ओपन का खिताब जीतने में विफल रही. सात्विक और चिराग ने 2022 में इंडिया ओपन का खिताब जीता था.

भारतीय जोड़ी की फाइनल में यह लगातार दूसरी हार है. पिछले रविवार को सात्विक और चिराग को मलेशिया ओपन के फाइनल में भी लियांग वेई कैंग और वैंग चैंग की चीन की जोड़ी के खिलाफ भी पहला गेम जीतने के बाद 21-9, 18-21, 17-21 से हार झेलनी पड़ी थी.

विश्व चैंपियन कैंग और सियो के खिलाफ अच्छी शुरुआत करने के बाद भारतीय जोड़ी ने लय गंवा दी और लगातार सहज गलतियां की जिसका खामियाजा मेजबान देश की जोड़ी को खिताब गंवाकर चुकाना पड़ा.

भारत और कोरिया की जोड़ी के बीच शुरुआत से ही कड़ी टक्कर देखने को मिली. सात्विक और चिराग ने पहले तीन अंक शटल को नेट के पार कराने में नाकाम रहने के कारण गंवाए.

सात्विक में शुरुआत में काफी गलतियां की जिससे कैंग और सियो को कुछ आसान अंक मिले. खेल की गति काफी तेज थी इसलिए गलती की गुंजाइश भी काफी कम थी. सात्विक और चिराग ब्रेक तक 11-9 से आगे रहे.

ब्रेक के बाद भारतीय जोड़ी ने स्कोर 13-9 किया और फिर बढ़त बरकरार रखते हुए इसे 18-13 किया.

चिराग के स्मैश से भारतीय जोड़ी ने छह गेम प्वाइंट हासिल किए. कोरिया की जोड़ी ने एक अंक बचाया लेकिन फिर चिराग के शॉट को वापस भेजने में नाकाम रही जिससे सात्विक-चिराग ने पहला गेम 18 मिनट में 21-15 से जीत लिया.

दूसरे गेम में कोरिया की जोड़ी ने बेहतर शुरुआत करते हुए 5-1 की बढ़त बनाई. चिराग ने अपने तूफानी स्मैश से दो अंक जुटाकर स्कोर 4-6 किया. सात्विक और चिराग ने इस बीच कुछ शॉट बाहर और नेट पर मारे जिससे कैंग और सियो ब्रेक तक 11-5 की मजबूत बढ़त बनाने में सफल रहे.

सात्विक और चिराग गलतियों पर अंकुश नहीं लगा पा रहे थे और कोरिया की जोड़ी ने लगातार नौ अंक के साथ स्कोर 16-5 किया और फिर आसानी से गेम जीतकर मुकाबला 1-1 से बराबर कर दिया.

तीसरे और निर्णायक गेम में भी सात्विक और चिराग ने लगातार सहज गलतियां की जिससे कैंग और सियो ने 6-3 की बढ़त बनाई. सात्विक और चिराग ने कई शॉट नेट पर और बाहर मारे जबकि विरोधी जोड़ी को नेट से पीछे भी नहीं धकेल पाए. कोरियाई जोड़ी ब्रेक तक 11-6 से आगे रही.

भारतीय जोड़ी ने ब्रेक के बाद वापसी करते हुए स्कोर 10-12 किया लेकिन कोरिया की जोड़ी लगातार अंक जुटाकर बढ़त बरकरार रखने में सफल रही.

कोरिया की जोड़ी ने दो चैंपियनशिप प्वाइंट हासिल किए जब सात्विक ने शटल को बाहर मार दिया और फिर चिराग ने नेट पर शॉट मारकर खिताब कैंग और सियो की झोली में डाल दिया.
