Man held for trying to open plane's emergency door midair

An unruly passenger created panic on a Delhi-Varanasi SpiceJet flight by trying to open the emergency door in mid-flight. However, he was soon overpowered by the crew members which helped in averting a major mishap. The incident occurred on Saturday when the SG-2003 flight carrying 89 passengers was heading to Varanasi airport. The passenger was later handed over to the police by the security forces after the flight landed. The police later said that the passenger seems to be mentally unstable.
