Winter hits Uttarakhand, peaks receive snowfall

Uttarkashi: As winter hits the state, Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham received snowfall on Monday morning. Apart from this, the surrounding peaks have also received snowfall. Due to this, a significant drop in temperature has been recorded in the surrounding areas including Uttarkashi. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department had already predicted snowfall in areas above 2,500 meters in many districts of the mountain range.
