Ramanathapuram police destroy 2,500 kg seized fire explosive

Ramanathapuram police on Saturday destroyed 2,500 kilograms of potassium nitrate (fire explosive) which was reportedly seized during coronavirus lockdown. According to the reports, the highly inflammable material was seized by the Tamil Nadu police when the smugglers were attempting to ferry it to Sri Lanka. Since then, the fire explosive was kept in Kamuthi Reserved Armed force office in Tamil Nadu. The explosive was destroyed after the Court ordered to destroy the material as it could be proven fatal.
