Notice to Yogendra Yadav in Tikri border rape case

Farmer leader Yogendra Yadav will soon be interrogated by the Haryana Police in the recent Tikri border rape case. The Haryana Police and National Commission for Women have sent separate notices to him.

Earlier, a shocking case emerged from the Tikri border, where several farmer's groups are protesting against the Center's three agricultural laws. Here, a young woman, who came from West Bengal, was raped and later died because of Covid-19.

National Commission for Women's Chairperson Rekha Sharma has tweeted about this on Tuesday. Rekha Sharma has written that notice is being sent to Yogendra Yadav in the rape case of the Tikri border. As per reports, Yadav was made aware by the victim about the harassment but he failed to report this to the police.

The victim's father has registered a case alleging the rape of his daughter at the venue of the agitation. The police have registered a case against 6 people regarding the case. The police have also raided the place and investigated some tents of the farmers.

Meanwhile, On Monday, the Samyukt Kisan Morcha, in an online press release, issued a clarification in the case. Activist Yogendra Yadav claimed that they had no information about the rape of a female protestor on the site.

The victim's father said in the press conference that they only named two accused - Anoop and Anil, while the remaining four people accused by the police are not even mentioned in the police complaint.

The victim's father has demanded strict action against the accused, but also said that no action should be taken against innocent people.
