Elated with BJP's victory, Jalpaiguri party workers prepare 101 kg laddoo

Elated with their party's victory in the recently concluded Lok Sabha polls, BJP workers from West Bengal's Jalpaiguri prepared a massive 101-kg laddoo. Party workers also asserted that the next Chief Minister in the state will be from the BJP.

Jalpaiguri: Celebrating their victory in West Bengal and across the country, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) cadres in Jalpaiguri prepared a 101-kg laddoo and hailed the leadership of Prime Minister-elect Narendra Modi.

Party workers gathered with a huge laddoo and a model of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to celebrate their victory . Speaking to the media, a party worker said, "We have gone from two to 18 seats in West Bengal. The people of Bengal have blessed the BJP wholeheartedly."

On being asked why a 101-kg laddoo was prepared, he said, "Such a big laddoo has never been made here. We want to gift BJP all the Assembly seats in the next state elections."

"The next Chief Minister of West Bengal will be from BJP," he added.

BJP won 18 seats in the recently held Lok Sabha polls as against two seats in 2014. The ruling party in West Bengal, All India Trinamool Congress, won 22 seats as against 34 in the Lok Sabha polls.
