Decomposed body of elderly woman found in WB

The West Bengal police have recovered a decomposed body of a 65-year-old woman from a house at Budge Budge area in West Bengal's South 24 Parganas. Locals said that the lady who lived alone was depended upon a daughter after her son went missing for four years.

Canning (West Bengal): The police on Friday recovered a decomposed body of an elderly woman from a house in Budge Budge area of South 24 Parganas district in West Bengal.

Police reached to the spot after locals complained of a foul smell emanating from the building in the southern fringes of Kolkata.

Police broke the door of the house and found the decomposed body and sent it for post-mortem examination.

According to the neighbours, the 65-year-old widow, who used to stay alone, went into depression after her son went missing four years ago.

She was survived by her daughter, who lives elsewhere.
