Greater Noida (UP): In a bid to revive the dying ponds across the country, a 26-year-old mechanical engineer - Ramveer Tanwar, has embarked on a unique mission aimed at the restoration of water bodies through natural and cost-effective measures.
Tanwar, hailing from Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh, had quit his job with an MNC and has revived ten ponds till date in the past five years.
His motive has been attributed to the mistreatment of water, since his childhood and has focussed on cleaning of ponds by natural, simple and cost-effective ways like making filter system and encouraging the farmers to take up fisheries.
Tanwar's efforts have been recognised by the government and was recently funded by them, alongside the private organisations, for the cause.
Now, he is looking forward to continue his work with more ponds of his village and the nearby areas.
