An application was given to the court on behalf of Mukhtar Ansari's lawyer. In the application, the applicant has sought high security in jail under Para 287 of the Jail Manual. The court has fixed the next hearing of the case on October 7, 2021. Mukhtar Ansari appeared before the Special Sessions Judge of MP-MLA court in Barabanki District Court on Thursday through video conferencing in the well-known ambulance case.

What is the ambulance scandal?

In the year 2013, with the help of fake documents, an ambulance was registered from the Barabanki RTO office. This ambulance was being used by Mukhtar Ansari.

After this, when the investigation of this ambulance started in the Barabanki Divisional Transport Department, it was found that it had not been renewed. After this, the documents were checked and the ambulance was found registered with the fake ID of Dr Alka Rai. A case was filed against Dr Alka Rai, Dr Sheshnath Rai, Rajnath Yadav, and Mujahid.
