Bulandshahr (UP): A 13-year-old girl was allegedly abducted and raped by her neighbour in Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr, police said on Wednesday.
The accused jumped off the wall to enter the house of the victim.
The girl was allegedly chloroformed and abducted while she was sleeping in her house.
The family members and villagers started searching for the girl after she went missing from the house.
The accused was apprehended by the family members of the victim while he was committing the crime.
Reportedly, the accused ran away from the spot with the help of his family members.
Senior Superintendent of Police Santosh Kumar Singh said on Wednesday night, the girl's father submitted a complaint in this regard, alleging that his 13-year-old daughter was raped by their neighbour Rizwan (20) on Tuesday night.
The victim is undergoing medical treatment. A report has been lodged against the accused and efforts are on to nab him. The accused will be taken into custody soon, police said.
The victim alleged that the accused has threatened to throw acid on her face.
