IAS officer's tryst with acting

Tujhe Bhoolna to Chaha, song, has gone viral on social media. Abhishek Singh, IAS officer and actor is thrilled by the response for his role in the song.

New Delhi: Tujhe Bhoolna to Chaha, Zubin Nautiyal, Bollywood singer's song is doing rounds on social media. It is not only the ecstasy the music brings in people but also the excitement people get while watching Abhishek Singh acting in the song that made the song popular.

Abhishek Singh, an IAS officer who is currently on deputation in New Delhi relishes his passion for acting. He is a 2011 batch IAS officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre. Tujhe Bhoolna to Chaha is the second song in which he is acting. In conversation with Poonam Panoria, Correspondent, ETV Bharat, Singh said that he acted in plays during his college days.

However, his dream of becoming an IAS officer hindered him from pursuing acting as a career. As he was determined to become a civil servant, he did not consider acting seriously. His family members too wanted him to become an IAS officer.

However, the desire of being an actor was latent in him and his talent was revealed as he got the opportunity in B Prak’s song ‘Dil Tod Ke’ in 2020. He said that the song invited wider attention among people and it has been watched by about 400 million people.

When asked about his upcoming projects, he said that he will be working on Badshah’s song. Unlike his usual role of a lover, his character in Badshah's song would be different. Further, he added that in the Delhi Crime series, he would portraying an IAS officer. In the future, he would also act in films, he said.

He added that people love it when he dons as a lover. Tracing back incidents in his life, he said that he remained undeterred in his UPSC preparation after his love failure. Actually, overcoming the loss ignited him further, according to Singh. He prepared for the examination from the core of his heart and cracked the exam in the first attempt itself.

Talking about Civil Services Examination, he said that if a person works hard with full dedication, he or she would definitely succeed, regardless of the ups and downs in life.
