Masked robbers storm Flipkart’s warehouse in Uttar Pradesh

Masked robbers fled with goods worth lakhs of rupees after storming a warehouse of e-commerce giant Flipkart at Rampur in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday.

Rampur (Uttar Pradesh): Five masked men allegedly barged inside the warehouse of retail e-commerce giant Flipkart in Kotwali Civil Lines area in Rampur, Uttar Pradesh and looted goods worth lakhs of rupees at gunpoint.

The incident was caught on CCTV camera.

The incident took place at around 10 PM on Saturday night when the workers of the company were collecting the cash which was to be deposited in the bank. The men allegedly entered the warehouse and looted lakhs from there in 18 seconds and escaped.

Anmol Kashyap, in charge of the warehouse, said that at around 10 pm, five youths came and looted lakhs of rupees at gunpoint after which police were informed.

After the police received the information, they reached the spot.

The police have registered a case and they are trying to ascertain the identity of the men.

Meanwhile, Superintendent of Police, Shagun Gautam said that a case of robbery was reported from the godown of the Flipkart and they are looking into the matter. He further added that only after proper investigation police can verify the amount of money looted.
