Ayodhya: A pregnant woman who was earlier tested positive for COVID-19 gave birth to a baby girl on Tuesday in Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya district.
The woman was admitted at L-1 hospital in Sultanpur, where her recent coronavirus tests came out negative. Her blood samples were sent twice to Lucknow's SGPGI hospital.
On May 3, the pregnant woman was referred from Sultanpur to District Women's hospital in Ayodhya. The next day, the woman had a cesarean delivery.
According to sources, both mother and newborn are healthy.
Chief Medical Superintendent of District Women's hospital SK Shukla said that all protocols related to COVID-19 were followed during the delivery.
