Hyderabad: Angry farmers poured diesel on Shivampet Tahsildar at Medak district in Telangana which triggered tension at Tahsildar's office. The farmers' alleged that Tahsildar doesn't solve their agricultural land passbook problems. Due to this some farmers and tribals poured diesel on Tehsildar Bhanuprakash at his office premises.
Farmer Maloth Balu died due electric shock in Thallapalli Tanda in Sivampeta Mandal on Tuesday. The relatives of victim and neighbours raised concerns at the Shivampet Tehsildar's office. The dead body was placed in front of the MRO office and slogans were raised against the officers.

At first, the protesters poured diesel on themselves. After that when the Tehsildar Bhanu Prakash came out of the office, diesel was poured on him. The farmers have alleged that the authorities were negligent in issuing new passbooks. As a result, they were unable to avail any government benefits including Raithubandhu and Raitubeema schemes.

Most people in the area depend on agriculture for their livelihood. In the event of an untimely death, families of the deceased farmers can get insurance of Rs. 5 lakh under this scheme. Farmers below the age of 59 are eligible for this scheme if they have any agricultural land and have a passbook.
