Kodimial (Telangana): A class nine student committed suicide in Jagityala district as his parents failed to buy him a mobile phone to attend online classes. Raghu Prasad, a boy from Tirmalapur village in Kodimial zone, asked his parents to buy him a phone for attending online classes. His parents had promised him to buy the phone during the Dussehra festival. In the meanwhile, he attended classes with an alternate phone that he had at home.
However, the parents were not able to fulfil the promise during Dussehra. His farmer father told him that he could buy the phone only after selling his cotton produce.
Disappointed over the issue, Raghu took the extreme step when there was no one else at home. Police registered a case and are investigating.
