Hyderabad: The customs officials seized three kilograms gold from a passenger at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Shamshabad on Sunday.
According to officials, the passenger identified as Sheik Abdul Sajid arrived by a flight from Sharjah.
He concealed the gold biscuits in a specially tailored cloth and few gold biscuits were hidden in his shoes as well.
The officials suspected him due to his weird walking style and on enquiry seized the gold from him.
When asked about the gold, Abdul informed that he was to dump the gold in the bathroom.
Later, the customs officers recovered 26 gold biscuits from him.
A case has been registered and an investigation is underway.
