Sri Lankan man held by Rameswaram coastal police

A 60-year-old man named Mohammad Hussain of Sri Lankan origin has been arrested by coastal police after he reached Rameswaram in a boat under mysterious circumstances.

Rameswaram (Tamil Nadu): A man has been apprehended under mysterious circumstances after he reached Rameswaram in a boat from Sri Lanka on Tuesday.

According to the Coastal Security Wing, Mohammad Hussain (62) was arrested by the Coastal Security Wing police when he reached Kambipadu near Dhanushkodi, North Coast of Rameswaram Island in a mysterious boat from Mannar, Sri Lanka on Tuesday at 1 pm.

Tamil Nadu police have brought him to the Coastal Security Wing police station in Rameshwaram.

An investigation into the matter is underway.
